Passed away yistdy after a 3 year battle wi prostate cancer.

That bowling spell at Headingley in 1981 where he took 8/43 is often overlooked because of Bothams heroics with the bat but make no mistake, those wickets were just as big as Bothams innings in turning that test match around and deserved equal credit.

Honest blowk who told it how it was in his analysis. Folk sometimes took pyss because his way with words and dour nature but I like straight talking people like him.
