Well if you knew me you'd know it isn't a surprise. I did the jobs I liked. Turned down a £60k pa salary increase because I didn't want to leave the Public Sector. Never felt low paid. When I retired I was running a govt office in Bolton with 38 staff and I was paid £43K. I was happy with that. I don't owe a penny, live in an 8 bedroom detached house with Warton Crag Nature Reserve at back and overlooking an RSPB sanctuary at front. Most of my cash I give to the two kids.
