    Goals on the zone

That second goal demonstrates some lovely stuff on the deck and a typical, cool clinical finish from Sir L. However, how on earth can Sutton claim the goal for them? Benji saves it at which point it is NOT over the line, it rebounds off Smith two yards out back toward the goal, where Benji then can’t react quick enough and fumbles on the line where, allegedly, it then crosses the line. I know they’ll not want to claim it but it’s an o.g. surely? Thus keeping the record of no opponent scoring against us since QOS.

Agreed, that goal from Shanks showed a real striker at work. Most players would have hit it early and it would have been blocked. Real skill to use patience and work the opening.
I've watched Appere's goal several times (only on a phone screen mind) and he seems to strike the ball in an unconventional way almost a half volley off his ankle.
If you watch it on the zone he jostles again and again with his marker, letting the guy think he's going on the outside then leaves him for dead, tucks inside and scores, first touch. A really good goal from a lad that's improving all the time. Big, strong, turning into a real threat.

Thought Louis hits that as any player would. As all great strikers say, it doesnt matter what part of the body it comes off, a goal is a goal!
