    Perreira

Surely if we have any sense at all we'll make the signing permanent in January to avoid any bigger fish taken him off us at the end of the season?

Man Utd have been linked, virtually any top 10 Prem club could hi-jack this move..

I don’t know why this continually gets dragged up!

Once he plays 32 games we are legally obligated to sign him even if we didn’t want to.

If we get promoted we are legally obligated to buy him.

We have an agreement that makes us the only club capable of signing him up until the end of his season long loan spell.

We paid £750k to loan him and the remaining fee is fixed at just £8.25m.

I think the above is common knowledge to most Albion fans but here are the details below......

    He’s agreed his contract already.

    He’s signed up already.

The bottom line is that the deal is done subject to Albion paying £8.25m.

We all know that in the real world it may see us paying £8.25m to own him and then him agitating for a move in the summer and Lai then cashed in by selling him for £40m-£50m.

That’s the way of the world these days.

Bottom line though......nobody can “hi jack” the deal as long as we pay up before the end of his season long loan.

I knew there was an obligation for us to buy, just thought it would make sense to do it at the earliest opportunity on Jan 1st. I'm pretty sure if Man U offered Sporting £15m and Perreira twice the salary we have offered him, they'll be looking for any loophole they can find out of this contractual agreement...

    No they won’t.

Legal is legal.....Portugal isn’t a third world state,I’m sure the law works perfectly well with our European partner.
