    Burnley v Newcastle

Well frankly I feel like a Jonah as my last 3 match previews have resulted in 3 crushing defeats so I thought why not sneak this one in on General Election Day and hope it flies under the radar. I am regressing here to 30 March 1974 and an FA Cup semi-final against Newcastle at Hillsborough. I’d been to the QF v Wrexham but couldn’t get that longed for SF ticket. The game proved a great disappointment as we went down 2-0 to goals from Motormouth Malcolm McDonald. I am not sure if I ever fully recovered from that. So how will we fare now? Well Newcastle are on a good run and we’ve got cramp. Newcastle will be looking to launch their secret Santa Andy “Christmas” Carroll but will be without Allan Saint-Maximin who starred and scored for Nice in a pre-season 6-1 defeat at the Turf. There is also the Tale of the Two Dwights. Earlier this year Steve Bruce put in a laughable 15 million offer for our Dwight but has now gone on record as saying it will take a ridiculous offer for Newcastle to part company with striker Dwight Gayle. Enough said Barcodes. Our referee for the day is Tim Robinson from Bognor Regis who is taking charge of his first PL game. Should we lose my first words are likely to be “Bugger Bognor” and my next thoughts would be about what I would like to happen to Alan Shearer on MOTD. And Gary Lineker that sodding Remainer but that goes without saying. COYC!

If it's any consolation Outwood, others might, but I don't blame you for our recent defeats. But if this run continues.......

other than getting the points....doesn't sound good viewing Alf - though seems your not the only one that suffered...Magpies saying it was likely their worst performance all season and they want a refund on the time lost watching the game !

think i'll rename this Division - Premier Fatigue.

Matthew Le tissier was watching the Burnley/Newcastle game with Jeff Sterling and the rest of the Sky team, he made me laugh with the honest comment "Newcastle not playing well at all, but they don't have too with this Burnley side"
