Who would have thought that The Spencer Davis Group would have ever filled a Northern Soul dance floor but yet they did it every single time this record got spun. Fantastic. The Spencer Davis Group - Gimme Some Lovin.

Without this track maybe Motown would never have got off the ground? What a thought that is!

Not Parkgate mate, the one on or near Effingham St. If you wasn’t in by 7pm Saturday night you couldn’t get in. 7 till 10-30 pm steady drinking , then onto the only place open ( legally) the bowling alley and a game of 20 pin bowling !
