Brave Motherwell run the 'Mighty Rangers' close and lose 2-0

Just getting that in before anyone else does.

That was garbage as usual from us today against Rangers. Lightweight in midfield and attack, looked terrified of them and can thank Gillespie for a superb performance in goal for keeping the scoreline respectable today otherwise that was easily a 4-0 or 5-0 defeat.

We are so slow and indecisive in the final third it is infuriating and our midfield is powderpuff, that's why we will struggle against any side with any iota of quality or physical strength and hopefully this is something that we can address in January.

Thankfully we only play two of them in Scotland.

Gilliespie was the only one who turned up but better a stinker today than next week.

    a) Did Morelos get a straight red, or was it a second yellow?
    b) Trying very, very hard to be non - partisan, was the ref's action justified? He's not the first opposition player to do an OTT 'wind - up' celebration in front of home fans at Fir Park. Was there a gesture or something?

    a) second yellow
    b) yes. I don't think those should be yellows, if a player is getting abuse all game long he should be allowed to give something back...but the rules are you can't. And going over to the opposing fans to make a get it up you gesture is as much of a stick-on, 100 per cent booking as you'll ever see.

We were poor every department and out played.

Morelos first reaction upon scoring was to TURN and gesture HOME support when 3k Rangers fans sat directly in front, 3m away was misguided stupidity and rightly booked. The faces Rangers directors watching unfold a picture.

Morelos is an utter @rsehole. There's no doubting his ability but his antics after he scored that goal today showed him up for the absolute screwball that he is. His pretend "what have I done wrong" look/gestures afterwards just summed him up.

Disappointing, though, that our fans in that corner took to chucking things. They are committed 'Well fans who follow the team all over Scotland - I know they do.....I've sometimes been fated to sit near that b****y drum - but if they don't get a grip it will not end well for either themselves or for the club. No' great.

How can a team that was high on confidence, winning our last three games without conceding then face a Rangers side, that weren't that great on the day, look so ****ing terrified to get in about them. We were powder puff all over the pitch and stood off them far to much. Hylton was up against Tavanier, a guy that cant really defend that well and never laid a glove on him. Same old ****e against them again. As for Morelos. I just think the guy is as thick as **** basically.
