The other issue to remember is that Dobbie had given his all, and that is when he tends to be injured. I'd rather rest and protect him for next week than risk him being out for a month.
Dobbie would no doubt have been reluctant to come off, - but the bigger picture must be considered and fresh legs would have created fresh worries for Arbroath.
It's all water under the bridge however.
