    council estates

Just a few of my observations about Niddrie and council estates in general.

It's more than acceptable to wear your pyjamas out in the street at any time of day/night.

There is no need to watch the weather forecast or use weather apps. In summer you know it's really hot when someone has burst open the same water mains point every year so the kids can scream and run under the spray while Doreen in number 75 wonders why she can't get the kettle filled. Scottish water wont allow their engineer to turn it off until at least 4 police officers are there to assist with crowd control.

If you are a male cyclist aged between 8 and 15 you are not allowed to have the front wheel touching the ground at any point. You must do the whole length of Niddrie Marischal Place pulling a wheelie.

There is no speed limit for ****agers on illegal moto cross bikes.

If your own garden furniture is left out over night it seems to be a free for all for who ever wants to jump the fence.

It's considered rude to haggle when the local junkies turn up at your door selling tide pods, AA batteries or rump steak.

Sounds like someone is missing Meldrum

Either that or wishes he was still on the run in Spain

I had to look up tide pods

I admit to a certain disappointment

Wouldn't everyone like to be in Spain this time of year? 22 degrees in Benidorm and 1 euro per pint. If I could afford to go back now I'd be booking the ferry.
