    Brentford v Swansea

Last chance to visit Griffin Park as Brentford will move to their new ground next season, just a mile up the road.
Brentford are in good form and this match on Boxing Day will be a big test for us.
We lost 0-3 at the Liberty in October so I envisage the return encounter being a more defensive approach from Steve Cooper.
Last time out Brentford drew at leaders West Brom, whilst we won at Luton, both teams full of confidence then.
The match is on Sky Sports and also on SwansTV (except in UK).

    Brentford 3 Swans 1
Well all the hype for this game and it was so one sided. Forget about promotion, Brentford were miles ahead of us, we played like a relegation team and made our position in the table look false.
Only one decent player on show for us and that was Ayew. The others looked as if they’d just met and were still celebrating Xmas.
They let us down badly today, and I felt sorry for the travelling jacks travelling to watch that half hearted display.

We flattered to deceive beginning of the season. The Potter effect left over from last season has now been eroded.
Yes we lost James and McBurnie, but we gained Ayew and Baston.
Players who won accolades last season such as Grimes and Byers are now ordinary players.
This season’s Championship is pretty average, like our team, shown by the cluster of sides at the top end.
How Cooper has systematically destroyed the Swansea way reminds me of Monk. He promised to maintain the way we play but I do not recognise the slick passing side of old, only a weak rudderless team with a weak captain.
Will he be trusted in the transfer window if we are able to bring anybody in. His signings so far haven’t exactly excelled. Loanee Wilmot was poor defensively against Brentford. Loanee Surridge can’t hold down a place, neither can Bidwell or loanee Kalulu.

Don't forget Peterson, another player who's done nothing. When Ayew scored second half there was a bit of revival, if we'd scored another goal then the story may have been different. Pressing for the equaliser left us vulnerable to the counter attack and so it was as Watkins raced away to score.
