Motherwell crumble and lose to Hamilton

Motherwell finished the year with an awful performance that ended with a 2-1 loss to Hamilton. The visitors came from behind and could easily have won by a bigger margin. - External Link

An absolute shocker of a display, but by no means a surprise. We had some early chances which were scorned but Accies alo had a few half chances early on. Trying to find a positive from the game its that we can take heart that we played so badly yet only lost 2-1. Some backsides need kicking after that display but our management team didn't cover themsleves in glory with some poor decision making.

Out fought on the field - inexcusable, and out thought off it. Our team was swamped by greater effort and an inability to match up to the opposition tactics and formation. Not for the first time our mid field was marked missing.

That's as bad a 2nd half showing that I can remember - home, or away. No idea what was said in the dressing room at HT, but looked like it must've been something like ... 'let's get out there, 5hite ourselves, give not a fuukk about the result and let a dismal, pi55 poor team run all over the top of us'!!

Apart from a bright opening 20 minutes, the first half was the same. The second half was simply a continuation of what had begun before the break. withoutndoubt we need to strengthen the striking department. Manzinga is a longer term "project" and Scott isn't quite ready. So that leaves us with Cole and Cole only.

Cole is off back to Wigan by all accounts we need someone ASAP. suggest phone call to Preston North End find out how Louis Moult is doing and enquire if we can take him on loan to the summer

Moult's initial diagnosis had him out for the season, I would be looking elsewhere.
