I do that too but i've noticed lately that the people i am talking to often look at me confused before saying 'who' then as i begin to explain that we used to be in the league and generally weren't very good and then got relegated to non-league i see them begin to lose interest and drift out of the conversation desperately looking for someone to swap VAR stories with involving liverpool or man city.

I do see a distinct difference between fan and supporter. A supporter offers support to a club, be that by paying to attend matches, buying merchandise, or volunteering for the club. A fan, may well care for a club as much as anyone else, follow results, team selections, performances etc, but they don't actually offer any support to the club. When the Premier League 'plastics' in my office claim to 'support' Arsenal or whoever, I always wonder in what way they are actually 'supporting' them. Most just 'support' Sky.

Just been announced that he has signed permanently, great work by the club considering EFL clubs were interested.

Well done Ardley for pushing this one all the way and 10/10 to the Reedtz brothers for backing him. I wonder if it was them and their database thingy who found him in August.
