    Carson extends contract

The club has announced that Trevor Carson has agreed a contract extension that will keep him at Fir Park until 2022. Good work.

Not unhappy with that but it suggests Gillespie is off.

You would think that would be the case I couldn't see us signing the two of them purely down to cost. If Gillespie does go Carson will do a job for us. Very little between the pair.

Happy enough with this providing he can stay fit as Carson proved pre-illness that he was an excellent goalkeeper at this level. I agree that it is inevitable though that Gillespie will be leaving us either this month or in the summer.

If Gillespie indicates he wishes to leave in the summer, do we start playing Carson after the winter break

    No.
