You weren't talking about Boris and Brexit though were you? You said that Hitler appealed to the lowest common denominator and that's how he got into power. I agree he appealed to the masses, but he initially had lots of support in very high places.

The US and a lot of the rest of the world are still fighting wars because of the country's alignment to the Fossil Fuel industry. When people have suggested that many wars are caused by religion, I think many modern day wars are caused by the race to secure resources - especially in the last 30 years in the Middle East. All of the current crisis' have preceded Trump and so he is having to face up to what he walked into and it would be extremely unfair to pin the blame on him and the current Republicans.

It’s ‘extremely unfair’ to blame Trump and the Republicans for Trump’s own policies?

    Ok.

Tell me one initiative that Trump has taken or encouraged that is a positive for the environment. Nothing matters more than money to a 'politician' who is an environment vandal.

Oh dear oh dear. Boris has gone directly against the Donald and there are already strong hints that the US-UK trade deal is under threat and that security-sharing will be affected.
And why aren't we handing over the good prince for questioning by the FBI re Geoffrey Epstein. I mean, if the boot was on the other foot, the US would hand over a fugitive from the law without so much as a sneer ... they would, wouldn't they?
Being out of Europe looks a bit more challenging today, n'est-ce pas?

You must be missing something here sid. Donald has offered us a "really great trade deal", and Boris has promised us that we are about to enter "a golden era". With those two in charge what could possibly go wrong?

I'm quite looking forward to 'Gammon Day' on Friday, because that's when the fun starts. I just hope that Soccerman and seriouspie have several changes of underwear at the ready, because they may be needed at both ends. In my opinion nothing much will change in the first year apart from a bit of a rise in the cost of living. After that, we either enter the golden era or start the gradual decline.

As a betting man, my money is definitely on the latter.

Shouldn´t you be out with Fatboy, smashing something up or setting fire to something?....I know it´s difficult to leave your ivory tower hidden somewhere in the idyllic Yorkshire countryside, but at least you should make a physical effort to support your Leftie principals rather than gobbing off on an obscure 5th division footie site, some several weeks after the champagne socialists were completely routed at the ballot box....................as we all warned you!

ps Don´t worry, the other fool will be here to bail you out soon.....oops, he´s here already, telling everyone how to earn money from the bookies again........yawn (Snobbers2, my bets last time were on the commie gimps to get routed.....looks like another 6 months of free beers, hic)

......anyway, I only popped in to let everyone know that I wasn´t yet propping up the Mexican daisies, and now I think I will leave you both to stroke each other´s, errr.......ego.....hopefully I will return for the promo party but just a quick tip, Sid the Snake, add a footie comment somewhere in your insane ramblings....it adds a smidgen of credibility!....you know it makes sense.

Probably a wise decision tarquin. At least that way you won't make a complete tit of yourself on the Cheltenham thread again!

    See you in April.

Sid, relax, we’re entering a new golden age of sovereignty. The many benefits of Brexit will soon become obvious after our exit on Friday. Don’t forget, we are getting a new 50p.

That’s what they promised wasn’t it?
