A spirited display but I think BHA deserved the win. They started the first half the better, Derby got back into it and then conceded just before half time (sound familiar?).

Derby started the 2nd half the better of the 2 sides but never really bothered BHA's keeper. BHA got back into it and it was even stevens who'd get the next goal. It was BHA on 80 minutes. Derby nearly got one back in the 85th minute when Sub Rogers had a cracking shot. The dcfc website says BHA keeper Rees managed to make an instinctive stop....... my take on it was he couldn't get out of the way and the shot had such ferocity that it knocked him off his feet. A penalty in the 90th minute by Brown gave the young uns some hope but there was to be no equaliser in the 4 minutes added time.

This is a very good U18 side IMO but not quite the quality of last season's U18s as this team doesn't have a Knight, a Sibley and a couple of others from last season. Nevertheless, they do have a couple who might make the grade a couple of years down the road. Brown, Stretton, McDonald, Ebosele and Thompson look the ones most likely to be capable of making the step up. Whether they do or not depends entirely on them continuing to develop.
