That statement fundamentally misses the point.

It's not about bad, good or blame.

It's the fact that England has consistently imposed governments, governments of a fairly extreme hue, upon Scotland, for which they as a country has not voted.

If Sturgeon is so astute, why does she keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results?

But she still hasn't got independence, and support for it is stuck.

She's a Scottish Nationalist, of course she is going to keep trying. I don't think she'd be pushing quite as hard if Brexit hadn't came along but the tories got sh*t scared of gains for UKIP and pushed the euro vote through. She is quite rightly using it for leverage for another scots indy vote.

No it hasn't, as recent as 1997-2010 Scotland had a UK Government that it voted for

Maybe we’ll get there when folk start acting like adults, instead of voting on whether candidates look like Jimmy Krankie or not.

    That’s not recent.

It doesn’t excuse everything before or after

Nobody is saying she shouldn't keep pushing for another indy vote, that is what she believes in so she is entitled to do so. What is being said is that her strategy over the last six years has been limited to bashing Westminster/England/Tories (and to a lesser extent Labour). That has been entirely successful in shoring up her core vote that has ensured success in the first past the post system we have.

I contend that same strategy has done absolutely fcuk all in persuading the people she needs to persuade to support that they even want another referendum never mind vote yes in such a referendum and until she does so in sizeable numbers Johnson will just continue to ignore her bluster regardless of the outcome of the 2021 election.

    Why is that?

Is she thick? - I don't think so
Is she happy enough just being FM and carping from the sidelines? - as Mason said you wouldn't think so
Is she badly advised - possibly?
Is she scared to take a risk for fear of twisting off some in her Party and she is then under threat from a challenge from the likes of Cherry or MacKay? - maybe?
Or is it some other reason?

The mistake you’re making here is that you still think you can be persuaded. You’re not in that middle 20/30, so it’s possibly a wee bit dishonest arguing their case for them
