Judge’s recognition that there was and is no issue with the Club’s approach to match day safety and “that it has nothing but the highest regard for the safety of visiting and home supporters.”

The judge has obviously never attended some of our championship matches then...Millwall springs to mind

Probably something to do with the legal profession.

    Ask Grist.

Probably because Rotherham Council have a shortfall in funding this year ☹.
Seriously though, how do they arrive at £150k plus a proportion of the costs for such an offence particularly as there were no serious consequences? That's a hell of a sum for a League 1 club to find no matter how well run it might be.
I know it's not related to this case but, as people have pointed out on Facebook, some countries have been fined considerably less than that for repeated racist abuse.

The fine goes to the Crown, not the council.

I assume that the 'fines' for racial abuse were penalties imposed by the FA/EFL as opposed to the fine here, which was imposed by a criminal court. They are two completely different things.

    Happy New Year.

I'm good thanks, but I am trying to wean myself off posting on here too often. Too many circular arguments!
