    O/T - Films

Not watched two decent films in one week for ages.

    This week has been different.

    Knives Out
    Motherless Brooklyn

Even Corbyn (Frank Oz) made an appearance 😂

Knives Out is a gem. Apart from the accent, lol.

No films here but a snowy day in the Pacific Northwest so not much else to do but watch TV. Found a channel showing The Big Valley, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Rawhide. Must admit they haven't improved with age. No PC in those days though. In Bonanza a man can't get a job because he's too small and they don't shy away from calling a midget a midget.

Motherless Brooklyn I read the novel years ago but can't imagine the film is better, that's rarely the case.

I remember at the same time reading "God is A Bullet" by Boston Teran, another excellent crime novel.

Theme tunes to Rawhide and Bonanza were so iconic that they have far outranked the actual content of the shows. Liked them as a kid though. Other stuff, like Mr Zilzal, er , I mean Mr Ed, has aged far worse though.
(Never understood how Zilzal got through the turnstiles, unless he was a police horse! Only one person can probably explain )

Anyone into horrors? Loved Midsommer on the big screen - like a dreadful, unfolding trip in sunshine.

Also, a recent horror comedy Hide & Seek - all good fun but then the final sequence - I was howling with laughter in the cinema.

Kids film: Secret Life of Pets 2. For the gruff old ex-US Services guard dog alone..
