It was against Stockport County Sinkov that he went nap. Rattling in 5 goals in a 40 minute spell. He did early in his career score twice for York in a cup tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

I'm sure it finished 5-2 and Paul Weller actually looked like a football player.

Cheers Outwood, I thought there was a York connection somewhere, I'd forgotten he used to play for them. And I must be honest, until this weekend I didn't know Harvey was his son.

I once saw him have a cracking game against Barnsley at Oakwell, but sadly the emphasis has to be on the word 'once'.

"Aye it was a good shout was that one Supersub6."

Not a bad shout, except that Sub posted on Jan 3rd. and if you look at what I posted on Jan 2nd, you can see that the Mail was pushing the Drinkwater to Villa story three days earlier.

"According to the Daily Mail a couple of days ago, we want to extend his loan period to the end of the season, while John Terry is pushing for Villa to step in and take him there on loan."

sinkov --I was merely making the point that John Terry would have certainly talked to him about moving to Villa and, I am not sure if you are aware that Drinkwater was ready to come on as a sub against Villa, however, at the last minute, he was told to sit down again ---I found that rather strange.
I must also take issue with the fact that you posted something which was from the Daily Mail ----according to most people on this board they just publish lies and damned lies!

None of it matters much at all really Sub, and when you initially claimed credit for a story I put up a day earlier I never mentioned it, then BT chimed in as well and that was just too much for me, I was overwhelmed with jealousy, anger and grief and just had to point out the massive injustice being perpetrated upon my good self. And for once, the good old Daily Mail had got something right !!

Anyway enough nonsense, where did you get to on your cruise, and where's the next on going to. It's bloody hard work keeping tabs on you, are you ever in residence in the North East for more than a month at a time ? I don't think so.

sinkov ---I did not claim credit --I just said that he would be off to Villa before either of us knew ----so touche ---ot whatever it is!! lol
Sailed from Southampton because the missus does not like airports and we both always hope for rough seas in the Bay of Biscay ---both disappointed this time --quite calm.
Next one is going to Spain and Portugal and Gibraltar and we leave in 88 days times ----and we have loads of onboard credit again and the wife has stopped drinking ---oh dear, how sad, never mind!
In between times I shall be travelling up and down the UK for various football reasons ---both Clarets and non-league.
Keeps the brain working and I enjoy the driving!
