18 point lead and the place is in meltdoon! Even with the right team and right formation on Tuesday night theres a high chance we get beat. Its only the right team and formation for people if we win and even then its not good enough for some. People are great on here at knowing exactly what we should have done AFTER the match.

I think you're both sitting in the same boozer, sharing pints and trying to make this forum more interesting than usual! It seems to be working! Don't mess with our heads!

It’s not meltdown, and today’s result shows, if we start getting above ourselves and think the job is done, before it actually is, it’s a dangerous game!!
That’s why most are expressing concerns in the change of team/formation, simples!

The selection was just fine today.. Sensible and with an eye on the big game Tues, due to how well we've (Neilson and the team) done we have that luxury just now where dropping 2 pts today was no big deal)

People are entitled to criticise and people are entitled to call it out too, we only made it 14 unbeaten afterall.

Roll on Tues, will be difficult but I'm feeling quietly confident about our chances.

Of course there is. We're big underdogs, but give us a chance. Play the settled, winning formation we're used to. Then play the best players for each position. Don't try & be smart with 4-3-3 for the first time in forever or bring in 4 guys at once who aren't match fit. It's not rocket science.
Then we need the players to turn up. If McMullan plays on Tuesday like he did when he came on today, then he'd be as well staying on the bus.
We all give team & formation selections before the game so I'm not sure your last comment is fair tbh.

Jesus wept! B4 are you awright? Have you not learned anything from those across the road?

I really dont want to mention this, but we still need 19 points to achieve the accepted wining total of 72 points. However, slim as it is, there are 4 other teams in the league that can still meet or exceed this total.

18 points ahead of ICT, who by the time we meet them, will have 2 games in hand. Say they win their 2 in hand, and their 2 head to heads with us, and where is our title?

Far too much to play for!

Another game down where we have maintained a lead at the top, and dug out a pt we never looked like getting, but a horrible match, horrible performance. Think the league is so competitive at moment with every team fighting relegation or promotion that every game is going to be a scrap from here on in. If Sows goal is allowed different game. Once they scored it really was 2 banks of five, to point Reynolds was almost a playmaker, and they were comfortable.

I couldn't see us score once pawlett went off. When teams set up like that, you need guys to play between the lines and run at players to commit them and get them out of position, once we moved pawlett more central his runs started to cause them problems, up to that, the passing it sideways just allows them to get their banks of 5 in place. We really missed Glass today for that reason also, I believe he had a slight knock, and even Stanton could make those kind of runs. Or alternatively, if you have a target man, go more direct and get bodies in the box. Our wide players - Pawlett, Apperre and McMullan were poor today, barely got past their man. Appere like Pawlett was better towards the end when central.

I think Reynolds and Connolly make each other nervous, they make me nervous, some of the heavy touches by Connolly, Robson and Reynold today were really bad.

Few other thoughts, why do refs wait until late in a game to book goalkeepers for time wasting when they have been at it from the first minute? Book them early so they stop it.

Sow played decent today, his link up play was good, but suffered from the same problem as shankland, lack of quality service. I have to say, Shankland's scoring is sensational, it really makes you wonder how many goals he would score with better service. That might sound ridiculous given his scoring rate this season, but I don't think we have played anywhere near his strengths, and far too often he has fed on scraps.
