Just to add balance to the forthcoming Press Release abart the Sollbauer signing (and get in first)--

"Sollbauer was part of the successful Wolfsberger Europa League side which beat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0".
This game was played in July pre season with Borussia fielding a largely second team.
Wolfsberger finished bottom of the Group W1 D2 L3

"Struber led Wolfsberger to Europa League qualification"
Struber joined Wolfsberger on 1 July 2019 after they had qualified the previous season 2018/19 and left on 19 Nov 2019

"Wolfsberger are a top Austrian Bundesliga club"
For perspective their average crowd is 3824 with a stadium holding 7300

Welcome to Michael but no over- hyping him please Spud. He is 30 in May and this is probably a last big pay day as wage levels here are much bigger than Austria. He has spent 10 years at Wolfsberger so he is experienced at that level.

    What do you mean SB?

Solbauer will have been coverted by a host of clubs all over europe and specifically teams in England higher up the football pyramid than Barnsley so we are very lucky to have secured his services.
Although predominemtly a midfielder he can play in every position including Goalkeeper if required, he is also a trained physician so if anything happens medically on the pitch he can assist the physio's as well.
Michael is a well rounded individual who at 30 years of age fills a void in the experience department so often talked about as being needed by coaches and supporters but also highlights our desire to support the current Head Coach with his future vision both short and long term.

    From Sky Sports:

    BARNSLEY AGREE SOLLBAUER DEAL
Barnsley and Wolfsberger AC have agreed a deal for defender Michael Sollbauer to move to Oakwell.
Sollbauer, a centre-back, is due to undergo a medical on Thursday.

    WIKI says he's a Midfielder? I hope it's WIKI that's wrong!!

I still think we'll win 7 of our last 17 games and stay up.
