The International Criminal Court on Thursday granted the request of over 40 parties - countries, NGOs and experts, to weigh in on whether Palestine is a state and what ICC jurisdiction would look like in territorial terms.

Last week, the Czech Republic, Germany, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Hungary and Uganda as well as a large number of NGOs and experts filed arguments saying that Palestine is not a state and that the ICC must dismiss any war crimes charges against Israel.

Only states can refer a case to the ICC so the question of whether Palestine is a state is crucial.

Prior to Bensouda’s December 20 decision, her office had said it was also considering whether the PA might be guilty of war crimes for torture of its own people or for its so-called “pay for slay” policy.

I am surprized that you ask that question of me. You yourself know in life things happen of which we do not have answers for. But they happen! Especially in wars or conflicts.

Operation Carthage, on 21 March 1945, was a British air raid on Copenhagen, Denmark during the Second World War which caused significant collateral damage. The target of the raid was the Shellhus, used as Gestapo headquarters in the city centre. It was used for the storage of dossiers and the torture of Danish citizens during interrogations. The Danish Resistance had long asked the British to conduct a raid against the site. The building was destroyed, 18 prisoners were freed and Nazi anti-resistance activities were disrupted. Part of the raid was mistakenly directed against a nearby school; the raid caused 125 civilian deaths (including 86 schoolchildren and 18 adults at the school).

Can we justify that bombing? The RAF ?....causing 125 civilian deaths??

Yesterday, Turkey-backed forces hit Syrian troops in Idlib as a million civilians flee.
Turkey-backed opposition forces attacked government troops in a village in northwest Syria. Why should Turkey attack a village in Syria?
The fighting came amid faltering talks between Turkish and Russian officials on restoring calm to the Idlib area.
The fighting on multiple fronts has triggered the largest single wave of displacement in the nine-year civil war, with nearly 1 million people fleeing from their homes toward the Turkish border.

Is there any justification in that? 1 million people fleeing from their homes ?

Your diversionary tactics are not working Balan.

You know as well as I do they catch anybody but the press are always there they know that when they throw stone rocks pipes in fact anything, they are ready on the spot.

If a soldier stops/catches a man o k, but if he catches a boy that has a reaction ,see for yourself ,you are caught also.
Ask why those kids act as they do? At such a young age ? How come they are infested with hatred?

So if a boy is caught by a soldier and he did not have such padding ,would it still bother you? Or just be l be bothered if he is heavily armed?
I can not see a commander sending his forces into a pack of kids throwing stones rocks etc ??

In Britain the police face crowds of protesters ,as if all wearing Guccii shirts and shorts? Think I not ?( Riot police?? )

    This afternoon :

Woman detained over attempted Jerusalem stabbing
Eyewitnesses report the East Jerusalem resident was shouting 'Allahu Akbar' as she attempted to attack a passer-by before being overpowered by people at the scene and held by them until the police arrived.

''Another that flew over the cuckoo's nest?''

How Hamas is spending Qatari money
Protection rackets provide “protection” for profit. Much of that profit, typically, is ploughed back to the organisation to render it even more powerful.
At a recent “meet the press” event run by the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Development and Social Affairs, a senior official in the ministry, Muhammad Hamada, reported that NIS 268 million of Qatari money has so far been disbursed in Gaza. He also revealed that Hamas took by far the lion’s share, probably to develop the military infrastructure the Israel Air Force keeps attacking after almost every salvo.
According to Hamada, the money was distributed to 70,000 families. He then went on to itemise, in considerable detail, how the money was spent. The problem is that when one adds up all the specific funds to all the specific targeted populations, the items add up to NIS 59,709,154. Subtract this sum from the NIS 268m. Hamada claims were distributed to Gaza’s poor, it means NIS 208m., nearly 80% are unaccounted for.
