What do you reckon? 24 games gone and 30 points. Normally I'd say, yes, of course we are but looking at the amount of luck we're having, the law of probability suggests that could change at any moment.

Ask again when we have 40 points. Too many teams same as us and around the same points as us. Another few loses in a row then we are down at the relegation end again. Too close to call atm in my view.

Looking at our fixtures we could be safe by March if our luck holds our

I think 3rd bottom will need more than 40pts this season.This is the worst Premier League for years.So all around at the bottom capable of beating each other and upto the top end bar the top 2.Looking at around 42-45 pts

Yes, I think we are. And i don't mean that in a boastful way but the way we're picking up points leads me to think that we'll be ok.

As I've said before...how we get there is another matter but I think we will.

I'm not so sure we are safe, but we've certainly had our fair share of luck. All teams need that in their own way I guess.

To be honest, the football we are putting on display this season is much the same as the last 3-4 seasons before that. It's what's keeping us up and Ashley from spending.

I still expect 40 points to be enough.. as the teams playing each other will even out the points...

Teams still have 1 point per game or there abouts... that still equates to 36 - 40 points across a full season...

We are only 7 points above second from bottom
Watford as Bournemouth both are on 23 points
We have to play both of those teams

If we fail to pick up points from those teams... we will not reach 40 points anyway, so the discussion is invalid...


If we do, we maintain the gap and the games ebb away...
