BT f course no devil exists. Perhaps they came out with a very long time ago, if God is doing all the good works ,then who is creating those bad ones ? Do you see what they created? After some 3000 years ago, some people still believe that sh!t.

I see it as a no brainer, flu vaccine seems to work, if there are side effects like viagra causes or LSD it becomes more attractive.

Me too and everyone else. You chose what you like. You may not be trying to put people off but you certainly aren’t encouraging them calling it sh!t are you. Why do that to a licensed, quality tested, safe and effective medicine. It’s no different to any other medicine in that regard. Aspirin can cause allergic responses, too much paracetamol can give you liver failure .....
If you are reasonable then so will I be. Ok?

Not sure about the viagra effect Chris, that sort of stuff can get you into more trouble than it's worth.

I thought it was now accepted that Sweden's approach was wrong and given their lower population and population density they haven't done well at all.

No Sweden managed, and is managing, as well as anywhere else Chris, and still no lockdown, which is rather odd if it had been a disaster.

Seeing that “cases” ceased rising some weeks ago despite it being the middle of December, at what point does the rest of the world notice that lockdowns aren’t the critical factor in “controlling” this disease?"

As caseloads continue to rise across Europe, Austria and Switzerland — known alongside Sweden for their relatively light touch regarding COVID-19 — also announced constraints on public life.
The Swedish government, which has thus far left most schools, businesses and restaurants open during the pandemic, announced the closure of non-essential public workplaces, such as gyms, pools and libraries.
Prime Minister Lofven also said the wearing of face masks would now be recommended on public transport during peak hours.
"Now we see that we need to do more because we see that the spread of the infection is too serious and we have a strained situation in the healthcare system still," Lofven said.
The government asked citizens to limit gatherings to eight people but there are no penalties for breaking the rules.
Lofven stopped short of imposing a "very serious lockdown" as it "wouldn't have an effect in the long run because people would not put up with that."
With almost 8,000 fatalities from COVID-19, Sweden's death rate per capita is higher than that of its Nordic neighbors.

Sweden was rebuked earlier this week by both an independent commission and its own royalty, as King Gustaf said the evidence now suggested that the country's strategy had "failed."

Time will tell sinkov, personally I thought they had the right approach but at the time hadn't realised the virulence of the disease so admit I was wrong. Again, with their smaller population and reduced risk of transmission it seems they may get through it without too many deaths when the vaccine kicks in. more luck than good management.

Ah, Sweden.

I think a fair assessment of how various countries have done during the pandemic is to compare the deaths per million figures against their immediate neighbours.
Comparing Sweden with the UK is futile.
The population density of the UK is 275 per sq km.
The population density of Sweden is 25 per sq km.
So it is obvious to me that you are not comparing like with like.

So, comparing Sweden with it's immediate neighbours, here are the deaths/million figures for Scandinavian countries.

Denmark 256
Finland 105
Iceland 85
Norway 86
Sweden 914

Doesn't look like a success story to me.
