    O/T Coronavirus/Wuhan

I spent around 8-10 weeks in Wuhan over two trips back in the eighties. I used to go to this market every Saturday to buy stuff for Sunday dinner. Scary!

No! The most exotic things I ate in my years in China were Dog and Snake of course, Scorpion, live Shrimp and Roosters Testicles. I used to buy meat in the market for the Sunday Curry at the job site which was cooked, expertly, by one of the Indian Engineers. In addition to the usual I think we had Boar, Bear, Wolf and Fox curries. Your local "Beijing Palace" it was not!

The live Shrimp by the way were dropped into a bowl of strong liquor and when they stopped moving, pi$$ed, you ate them.

    When in Rome!!

I can remeber going on a business trip to Korea (South!) and trying raw, live octopus. The locals insist you have to eat it raw. I tried one of the tentacles and it latched onto the inside of my mouth. Couldn't get it out fast enough. Sure amused the locals !!!
