Same old Arsenal! Even the BBC reporter noticed. Here is an extract. “In the opening stages, they (Burnley) looked in danger of being overwhelmed, but gradually outfought a Gunners side who were rarely without a player complaining, limping, or rolling around on the floor.”

I thought Lowton had a cracking game and looks to be back to his best..

A good performance from the lads, once we got going. If only J-Rod had buried that chance! Anyway, 7 points from Leicester, Manure and ARSEnal is a wonderful return. Bring on Southampton!

Such was the apparent carnage, I can only assume they went back to the airport in a fleet of ambulances instead of the team coach.

Maybe it's just co-incidence, but to me we look a better team with Jay playing instead of Ash.

One point gained, two points missed. We should have won this one!

We missed a few, they missed a few, I'm happy with the point.

Just got home after an almost perfect day out, we deserved to win, however, one point is better than nowt.
Great drive down, smashing lunch, some good craic with my Toon supporting car companion and a good game to watch. A great trip home in horrible weather and just opened a bottle of red to have a relaxing evening.
The lads worked really hard today, deserved something out of the game and it was well refereed by Chris Kavanagh.

I am always annoyed and frustrated after playing that lot.

So near to the win but not to be again.

Great performance again but twice we should have scored from headers in the second half and twice two of our blokes, totally unmarked, got in each others way.
And as for JRod....he must be twice as gutted as me.

    .

looking at their performance - had we won it, I doubt even the most passionate Gunners fan wouldn't have begrudged us the full haul....but, as we fluffed more sitters than they, I guess we should content with the point - Desperate stuff from both sides though - void of any cleverness/ingenuity/originality etc etc.....from same no frills tin, but hey - well done Burnley !

    "missing a goal"
