I think you're right, but the remaining fixture-list does not look very encouraging.
Having said that, matches regularly going to "form" in this Division would actually be a surprise, and we do seem to perform better against the higher-ranked teams, anyway!
With Cunningham, Dack, Evans and Rothwell all available, the task might have been a little easier.

Ok.. with holtby now injured as well.. play offs are a big ask.

Did well to gain a point at Boro in the circumstances.

We seem to be losing a player a game at the moment.
I enjoyed the game, but we do have this tendency to invite pressure in the final quarter. Having said that, Boro were the home team, so you'd expect them to have the majority of pressure in that period. I thought we played well for the last 30 of the first half, but I feel we still need one more player who can put his foot on the ball. I'm just hoping Buckley develops in that way.
Every time I've seen Assombalonga, he's looked a decent player, so I had an ominous feeling when he came on. I take it he's inconsistent, because I'd have thought he would be an automatic choice, based on what I've seen.
(Incidentally, when I saw Tosin and Gestede next to each other, it struck me they'd make a formidable second-row partnership in rugby!)

I agree. We are taking too many hits to too many key players injury wise. And that means it will be too hard to claw back that deficit of points to get into the play offs. But it go away, take a bit of a battering, score a great goal and come away with a point shows we are growing as a team. And factor into that losing another player, to add to the others, we had to react to that again. They end the game with 2 big and expensive players in attack, and where always going to throw balls into our box. Walton made some excellent saves one in particular was outstanding. And yes, I do think we need someone who can hold onto the ball in central midfield. Like you say Aucks, put his foot on the ball. I always end this by saying .. someone like Tugay!!
