    Billy Sim straight out the juniors was as fit as a butchers did but Billy later on in his Queens career looked like he was partial to a hot dog.

    I wasnt going to mention this one as he brings back too many bad memories but alas I have to. Stephen Simmons is the biggest waste of space I've ever seen at Palmerston. I've witnessed many poor players but they mostly put it lots of effort. Simmons offered neither effort or ability. He ambled around the pitch in our relegation season without a care in the world and somehow kept getting played.

    I remember that season only too well, as if Simmonds was Macpherson's golden boy. Wasnt he captain that season?

    Derek Townsley used to frustrate me. Such a talented player but such a low work rate. I genuinely did use to wonder if it was because he had been delivering mail since 4:00 in the morning!

    Having said about Townsley, Dobbie and O'Neill it also frustrates me that Scottish football in general feels they can't "carry" such talented players because they don't defend!

    Townsley going on to play for Hibernian, Motherwell, Gretna and Annan faired better....

    Interesting to know what others thought of Derek Holmes workrate ? Was he trying hard but slow or just slow and not putting much effort into it ?
