    Next up - Celtic

Motherwell will entertain Celtic at Fir Park on Wednesday evening. In theory a clash of third against first should be a tight affair but the gulf between the teams suggests otherwise.

Our defence is questionable to say the least and we have zero goal threat in that team. That all points to a hammering with us being lucky to even register a shot on target.

    0-7 Celtic.

I'll take the bait after a 5hit back-shift.... Yawn z z z. Makes me wonder why I put in for a holiday for Wednesday.

Motherwell 0 would seem a certainty tbf. And while I don't expect us to concede seven, you'd get long odds on us keeping a clean sheet.

If we play like we did on Saturday losing 7 goals is not beyond the realms of possibility. Very few people will expect us to take anything from tonight’s game. Putting everyone behind the ball usually ends with us losing late goals and the game, So lets have a go at this mob from the off and get right in their faces, score first and who knows what can happen.

We did that last time at FP and got thumped 5-2.

Anyway, I'm actually quite relaxed about tonight. We have a variety of tactical/personnel options available to us, none are especially good, and even if we pick the 'right' one we will probably lose - possibly heavily - regardless.

If Celtic have a major off night and we are disciplined in whatever we do we have a small chance. If they hit even what, 60% of their potential they'll win...when something is so far out of our control I just don't get wound up by it any more. Get through tonight with being totally demoralised and worry about Saturday.

Agree with that, as much as I love getting a result against Celtic, the chances of it happening today are zero. Saturday is ten times more important than tonight for us, we need a cup run.
