    Another departs to the USA.

Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell is to leave Wolves to take up a similar post with New York Red Bulls at the end of the month. He joined Wolves in 2008 from derby County and was appointed Sporting Director in 2016. He was appointed to the Wolves Board of Directors in August last year. According to the E&S Jeff Shi will take on the temporary role as Wolves continue to restructure.

Don't know what his role really entailed after Fosun took over. I thought Thelwell did a solid job trying to bring in under the radar talent and young players when Morgan still owned the club. But with Mendes and Fosun teaming up, I don't think he had to unearth that many hidden gems.

I think he'll do a solid job at NY Red Bulls as he will once again have to be more savvy with the money available.

Thelwell has taken over from Moxey as far as blame for any unsatisfactory off pitch matters, lack of incoming quality players etc, this is the case on other boards at least. Who will be blamed now... Jeff Shi?
