Great result last night and decent performance. Cosgrove deserved to be dropped last night 21 goals or not. Totally off form at the moment. Main as much as I don't rate him played well and took his chance last night I felt. Worthy enough of keeping his starting line up. Wont be the same formation or line up again on Sunday. Doubt we will get anything from the game. Decent have a go performance and keep it tight at the back is our best bet. Then it will be all change again for the cup replay. Part of the problem. No team or formation the same for two games in a row. Well played to everyone who turned up on a bitterly cold night in terrible conditions. 323 tickets sold to Dons fans and 100 paying at the gate. Poor poor home support and poor poor Hamilton side.
Not arguing with all this,....But......
Isn`t it worth considering that " Ronnie " , and Staebek have been on their 2 month winter shutdown. And slinging in a boy to attempt to adapt to Scottish Football`s " unique " style, while the team is stuttering is not either fair on him, or reasonable to expect him to hit the ground runnig and transform the side ??
I recall , even Hayes, took a year to fit in at Aberdeen.
So maybe, it`s not a " toys out the pram " move from D.Mc. ( Although I`m in agreement on Arnason....)
I think that McInnes has proven multiple times over the years that the least he has to do with player recruitment the better.
I would imagine going forward we will move to a Director of Football type model that most top teams are moving towards, where the manager/coach identifies the need but someone else then identifies brings in the relevant player and McInnes or whoever comes after him is told to coach the players he is given and pick the team accordingly
