    Hard to move Williams on, surely, Champs. If Bell or either of the centre-backs gets injured, he is the obvious replacement.
    I agree about the need for a blend of "old and young", but experienced signings do involve an element of chance. On the one hand, you get Mulgrew and Downing; on the other, you get Murphy and Whittingham!
    As for the young centre-backs, I wonder if Magloire will turn out to be the pick of the bunch. (I think I mentioned before that a couple from the Blackburn area I bumped into in Auckland said that a relative of theirs who is involved in youth-development at Ewood has identified Annesley as a player with a bright future, but he is still only 19).

    I would be inclined to keep hold of Williams but quite a few will be shown the exit door,including graham.
    Wages will need to be freed up as we shop for freebies and loans.
    This squad is ok but very thin so balking up is a must.
    With no money we can still get quality but if we are carrying expensive passengers then it's not going to be possible.
