    U19s 3 Dortmund 1

0-0 at HT, they had more of the ball, we looked the more likely to score.

More of the same 2nd half. early corner for Derby saw the ball scrambled over the line at the 3rd time of asking. A few minutes later it was 2-0 from a 25 yard top left hand corner screamer. They pulled a good one back after which they huffed and puffed but their breath didn't reach the 6 yard box. Derby took control and could/should have had 4 or 5 more, finally sealing things in injury time.

A thoroughly entertaining 90 minutes which the lads fully deserved to win.

The young guns are now in the last 16 alongside the likes of Ajax, Liverpool, Benfica, Inter, Juve, Atalanta, Bayern, Real Madrid etc. If I've got it right, under the competition rules, we play one of those 8 at Pride Park.

The draw takes place on Friday.
