No, because having lived away from the area for over 50 years, I just used to buy tickets at the club where the Clarets were playing so I was never with the away fans! In recent years I have registered on the database of lots of clubs and gone to watch matches with tickets purchased from that club.
I just behave myself and enjoy the games no matter what the result, obviously I am not a proper fan!

I remember it very well BT, and the poor bloke wasn't even one of the muesli-munchers being kettled. Just goes to show that all the thugs in uniform aren't in South Yorkshire, but it had nothing to do with kettling per se, which I wholly approve of as it allows ordinary law-abiding citizens to go about their business, without their lives being disrupted by the virtue-signalling middle classes with too much time on their hands, and who never seem to have the problem of working for a living to contend with.

I think I've been following the Clarets as long as Sub, I've long since lost count but I've seen them on over 70 different grounds and in all those years and grounds, although I've witnessed bits of bother at places like Blackburn, Stockport, Shrewsbury and many times in Burnley, I've only ever felt personally threatened by the police on one occasion, it was a totally unprovoked verbal attack by a police sergeant, in response to a perfectly polite request for directions to the away end at Doncaster. And which force 'serves' Doncaster. I'll give you three guesses, and you can say s-h-i-t twice.

I seem to remember the South Yarkshire police being just the same with the Miners .THey couldn't wait to volunteer themselves on overtime at double rate to go Picket bashing during the Miners strike..
