    Cavare could be off

Barnsley player on the verge of exit – Deal should ‘quickly be finalised’ after all parties reach agreement

    Tom Coast13th February 2020
While the transfer window is now shut in most of Europe, a couple of countries are still able to buy some players, including Switzerland.

Their transfer window shuts on February 17th, meaning a few clubs, like FC Sion, are still winter shopping, which is where Barnsley FC’s Dimitri Cavaré comes in.

According to Le10 Sport, the Swiss club have turned their attention to the Frenchman after a deal for Goztepe’s Lamine Gassama fell through due to the player’s wages.

The 25-year-old, who arrived from Rennes back in 2017, has been a bit part player for the Championship side this season, making just 11 appearances (all before December) and hasn’t featured in a match day squad since the 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough.

Le10 Sport report an agreement has now been found between all parties, and the deal should ‘quickly be finalised’.

That means Gerhard Struber rids himself of a player he no longer wants, and Cavaré gets a move to a club where he will most likely play.

    Win-win.

It's been a rollercoaster with this lad, on the whole he's been ok and he was a big part of last season. Good luck to him

He needed love but couldn't fight it. It was a mystery to him why Struber didn't get excited.

Good luck to the big lad , enjoyed his marauding runs down the right flank last season and he played his part in the promotion .
