I've visited Craven Cottage twice , the first time was as Roma's alluded to the famous friday night victory in 1981 .

The second was in January 1986 under Allan Clarke part two .

Prior to the Fulham game we'd been dumped out of the FA cup at lowly Bury , as bad an FA cup performance as you'll ever see , we were dreadful .

No bugga wanted to go to Fulham so I went on my own on the train .

Had a few beers in central London and caught the tube to Putney Bridge .

I decided to sit with the Fulham fans in the stand where the Thames is .

There were less than 50 reds fans on the open terrace that day and that maybe an exaggeration .

We were awful again and lost 2-0 .

I wondered why I'd bothered .

Had a few more beers in Leicester Square after the game before heading for Kings Cross and home .

As unremarkable as that , I haven't been since !!!!!!!!
