Surely VAR should be used exclusively to identify monkey chant perpetrators in the crowd.
Official release about var q&a before it was implemented
What does "clear and obvious" mean?
If the referee's description of an reviewed incident does not accurately match replays, it may be considered he has made a "clear and obvious" error. This is grounds for a decision to be reversed
It never stated the incident has to be clear and obvious. Just the refs decision

Not everyone in football is in favour of Wengers idea
"Saints boss Hasenhuttl is against the Frenchman's (Wenger) suggestion and believes that doing away with the offside law altogether would be more preferable to more potential VAR controversy.
"If we change it the way he wants to do it we can stop playing offside because it won't work any more," said the Austrian.
"It will change the game massively in my opinion. The only thing that really works well at the moment is the decision about offside. And everything else we must discuss more."
Man Cty vs Leicester,Penalty for Man Cty no penalty for Leicester,WHY.When the ball was played Jesus was off side it only showed it before the ball was played.
Prob because the rule is not black n white.
Maybe handball should be given if it hits a hand/arm. No matter where the limb is.
