Looking ahead to the GOHD. A wee poem.

The sun was blazing from the sky,
they'd carved CHAMPIONS into the pies,
the hand of friendship reached doon the street,
BOGOF for Arabs their special treat.

The night before they laid on a dinner,
to salute the 83 league flag winners,
a lovely buffet with fancy dips,
and large portions of Ralphie Chips.

The Dundee players stood clapping hands,
    just ootside the AuldHunStand,
    cue fireworks,cannon fire and confetti,
in the directors box emontional Bonetti's.

On the centre circle they built a stage,
    Wagner looking all the rage,
his black suit adorned with tangerine trim,
he burst into Arab battle hymns.

A halftime fly past from the Red Arrows,
    frightened the gulls,starlings and sparrows,
Annie's song was heard doon at the Tay,
Derry boys and girls joined in the sway.

The Braes victim's given Hospo FOC,
special guests of McPoke,Irvine and the Dee,
a Dens Park LEGEND did the halftime draw,
Luggy's winning numbers?,five nil six twa.

Half and half scarves twirled in the DEE stands,
emblazoned with Champions of the land,
a day Dundee was a city United,
both sets of fans thrilled and delighted.

Now it’s a night time fixture, the fireworks are going to be spectacular. Also, I hope McGowan has got his tag and curfew sorted as for one he certainly won’t be wanting to miss out on leading the Guard surely?
