Our losses were due to not scoring really

We have lost points from winning situations which would have seen us way ahead
    Due to the nervy defence

I couldn’t really care too much what Hegazi has done right now we need a stronger defence to ensure us getting out of this league

I fear for us if we don’t tbh with the Chinese fella in charge and our last season on parachute payments

It didn't all go his way today, that can happen and I dont think a switch to hegazi will neccessarily work
The own goal looked like a shocker, I was either expecting our goalie to be out for it or for it to be left to run across the box but I was at the game and it happened in an instant so will have to wait for replays.

What about the handball against Reading
He was playing well but has lost the plot
    He doesn’t inspire confidence

10 points from 12. More than happy with that for the rest of the season. Much better balance now. We were never going to be a defensive side with Bilic, but we are all enjoying the attacking intent, and being top of the division. I cant complain.

Another reason for not playing Hegazi is we defend a lot deeper when he plays due to his lack of pace, it maybe better to move O'Shea into the centre and bring in Furlong if we drop Bartley.

Apart from scoring an own goal, handling the ball in the box for the second successive game and causing our third goal to be disallowed i thought he was OK. Seriously he had to go for the cross because Johnstone wouldn't have cut it out and they would have scored from it anyway. It was a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Johnstone is the one who causes panic in our defence, he only came off his line once yesterday and nearly got lobbed by Watson.lol. If we go up our priorities are a keeper, a CB and a striker.

I don't blame Bartly for not gaining three points yesterday. As others have stated, we haven't looked any better at the back with Hegazi in the side, in fact probably worse. We were by far the better side but we just didn't get the breaks. Forest didn't deserve to get anything out of the game but that's football. It's as simple as that.

I agree Diangana loss impacted us. Ferguson less so imo. But I just think there is something wrong with Hegazi playing. Can’t put my finger on it. We just look more together as a team when he’s not playing.

And agree on Johnstone btw - he was caught in no man’s land when that cross was whipped in for their first goal. He’s not a bad shot stopper but doesn’t command his area.

I've now watched the replay of the own goal (albeit a big grainy and from afar) and would just conclude that it was a perfect ball into the area where its just too far for the goalie and the defender feels he has to commit to the ball as the attacker is on hand to score. I guess if Bartley had simply left it and the attacker scored we would be going crazy on here about him leaving it.
    Lets move on.
