Not sure the ref knew either, giving them a free kick was an easy way to put an end to a goalmouth scramble, where he might have had to make a proper decision if it had gone on.
Refs at this level, this season have been the worst I've ever known. It's not the odd one, it's all of them. We got battered by refs and linesmen in the Championship cos we're little Rovrum and the bigger clubs are more important. In L1 its just a constant stream of sh@t Sunday league officials

I meant did the ball go over just after keeper hit it or whatever he did, their player was on the floor so wondered if the ball was actually over the line and he was laid on the ball before the ref blew

Although the weather isn't quite as bad as over the weekend, that's a draughty , windswept stadium. The Wombles are not actually much good and we missed out last Saturday.
