Sure it was in the paper not long ago that the BOD wanted to remain full time as long as it was sustainable which it should be as we have the Arena generating income

Could be back to the 1980s if we aren’t careful.

yep queens are pointing more and more each season to going backwards to what it was like then unthinkable ,atm its like having a new version of willie harkness in charge of the club queens can only go in one direction under our current regime the way its looking atm. tho who knows maybe thay have a plan to move the club forward eh ???

Without the current BOD’s the club would of been part time a long time ago. What they’ve done at Palmerston was highlighted on here a while back. Give it a rest.

Hard to believe that Queens haven't been in the top flight of Scottish football since season 1963/64...

as iv always said johnny the current board have done well at palmerston i agreed with this back when it was highlighted ,but thats all in the past its the here and now and the future that i always have concern with ,quite simply put thay look like thay have now hit a brick wall ,iv seen zero forward progress since the infrastructure was built ,there cant be any denying the first team have been on a backwards trend over the last 2 or 3 seasons ,whether it be bad management or the board or both ,something has to give to move the club in a forward direction and atm all i can see is future backwards steps ,even part time football is being spoken about in the forums ,totally unthinkable .

They have done a great job of developing the business side aka the Arena. The same can't be said on the footballing side of the business which has gone down the pan the last 4 seasons.

deek thats the realistic look at it something that alot of queens fans dont see until it jumps and bites them hard on there butts ,the queens home support under 1000 not including away fans ,,fans are now voting with there feet ,it was dundee albeit a crappy day but ffs who would expect the home support to be so low against a dundee ?.

Frances, you do make a strong point. Who would have thought that less than one thousand home fans would turn out against Dundee?

However, the weather among many other factors was against us; Scotland v Italy in the rugby was on the TV; Annan were playing at home; many local matches were being payed. There are only so many people prepared to watch football, and if you tie up a good percentage of those by involving them in other matches then unsurprisingly the crowds will be down. We really must start trying to work with local fans and do all we can to attract the ever reducing number of potential fans to matches at Palmerston.

I wrote to the person who prepares the league games, and simply asked him to keep Queens and Annan apart when they are at home. His response was "I have many permutations to consider" - which would be fine if he was trying to work it all out by himself, - but in the era of super computers, keeping Annan and Queens apart for home games is like giving a nut to a squirrel.

Anyway, - the point here is that in a world where fans are becoming older with every passing year and simply not fit enough to attend games, - even an extra 50 people who might have travelled from the Annan area can make a massive difference to the end of year financial figures.

Our fate is, of course, in our own hands but tbh I would not mind the Honest Men helping us out a wee bit by winning their two games this week against Morton and Alloa
