I'm a bit puzzled why you think this is a false story. Why would they lie about it? The china thing that is!

It could be untrue but i don;t see a reason for them to lie unless you are insinuating all communists lie

Is it because you wouldn't want the chinese govt to be seen to make a better job of it than ours. You really shouldn't be that obsessed with how good our govt is compared to others at least not without the evidence. . Even I have said we will say how it all turns out...

You said at the last election you were reluctantly gonna vote Tory. Now 3 months into power they are the bees knees..maybe you werent so reluctant after all...

The regime in China isn't socialist or Marxist either. Various posters on here have claimed that it has no internal free market, is not part of capitalism, etc. How come people are buying and selling bats, and other (sometimes "officially protected") exotic animals in markets - seemingly unregulated and probably the cause of this pandemic (after several previous near misses)? It's part of the capitalist system.

If its any consolation to you I am not a fan of the Chinese regime because it is basically state capitalism. Yes the c word you and howdy admire which has brought misery to the world but hey thats another argument int it? You might quite like living there...

For Howdy and Kerr its communist when comes to repression and capitalism when it comes to freedom, So they must like some aspects of the chinese govt then. And of course capitalist govts never tell lies...
