I have said it before and I will say it again, VAR could cost the club millions this season and next. The number of points we have lost with this retched piece of technology looks as if it is going to cost us a European place next season. Not only does it effect financial income but potential player transfers. Are we going to attract top players if they know we haven't qualified for Europe, or more to the point, are we going to be able to retain our top players.

There is great team spirit at the moment, but the likes of Neves and Jimenez are certainly going to be targets for the sharks, come the end of the season. A European place is a must if we are going to progress and maintain a top quality team. Maybe we will have to win the Europa League to ensure we keep up our status.

VAR at the moment is certainly spoiling the game as a spectacle. and I can well see people being turned of the game for good.
