Thread: Manzinga...

    Manzinga...

has somehow got a run again. This will no doubt get lost in the fog of the next 20 minutes but that's an absolutely shocking decision given his last effort and suggests Seedorf and Ilic should be looking for alternative careers asap.

Only good thing he's got going for him is the 42 points he's worth on a Scrabble board! And here's me believing we have a 'great scouting network' ...

Agree and would add Hylton ... all 4 should be released as have minimal impact when and if they play and doubt will improve to an acceptable SPL standard. Add to the list of Robinson phuds

On their showings so far this season by the above mentioned 4 you have to wonder what our scouting system is looking for in a player for the club, as all four lack the basics, fitness, ball control and technique

Manzinga is out of his depth, as exemplified by the two or three wild slashes he had in trying to make a clearance out of our box late in extra time. He does not have the mental strength to play at this level. Other failures - Peter Hartley should have cleared the ball before the fourth goal, the latest in a series of errors. He is now too slow and not first team standard - Gallagher has covered for him and Donnelly looked streets ahead of Hartley when he went to centre half. Hylton not good enough either, nor is Mugabe.
On the plus side, Tait reminded us that he a good footballer going forward and should stay as our right back with Grimshaw moved forward to right midfield or stay as our right back if Tait has to switch to left back with Carroll’s injury absence. Watt deserves credit for contributing 120 minutes as he cannot be fully match fit and there were flashes of good control and technique. Polworth and Campbell are good players and contribute a lot to our midfield, as long as they are on their game (like any other player they can have poor matches but are, overall, definitely pluses to our team). McIver is young but could be a success. Pretty touch and good leap. Give him time. Aaron’s has good skill and reminds me of Gboly but needs to improve his decision on making on when to pass, but definitely worth persevering with.

You can also add Peter Hartley to your list.

Frustrates me why Robinson brings in players NOT ready to play or perhaps injured. We need them to make immediate impact.
Okay Sloth now gone but weeks/months elapsed before released having NEVER played but took Teneriffe. Cole took time to be match ready (?) and returned Jan'20 after short run of games. Ndjoli ... why did we bother bring in as season finished before loan over. Another is O'Hara .. looks good but rarely starts. Illic ... WTF ? Only Arrons appears worthwhile acquisition. Where do these guys come from .. a fat farm for the unfit ?

All of the above begs the question what is our scouting staff doing bring these type of players to the club and more importantly why is Robinson continuing to let it happen.

He's our best midfielder right now and should've started last night.
