Now we're sorting out the immigration mess, thanks to the initiative taken by the previously sacked Home Secretary (had 14 secret meetings with the Israelis and never told Theresa May).
This pretty ugly woman has decided that anyone who depends on unskilled foreign labour to run their business needs to 'skill up', mechanise and increase productivity.
How do you do that in a care home, Pretty? Invent a machine for nappy removal? Commission a mechanical poo sweeper?
And where do fruit farmers find the cash to invest in machinery that will pick their fruit?
Oh I forgot there is a pool of 8 million unemployed in the UK from which they can draw (according to government sources). Yes, it includes students, OAPs and the disabled but about half of them must be swinging the lead.
This 'government' is an utter disaster. Give it 18 months and you will see just how foolish these measures are.

How did we cope picking fruit before the EU and their free movement of people??? Personally I'm happy that something is being done about it as it's getting out of hand! UK businesses have had it easy for far too long. One business owner was complaining that he wouldn't be able to get any low paid SKILLED workers anymore, WTF!!! How about paying to train someone up?!!
You don't get it sidders.
Err.... they used to get children/mothers with children to pick the fruit. I remember picking blackcurrants from 7.30 am until 3.30 pm in the late 60's for which I got paid 7/6 for the day(that's 37.5p to the the younger board members). If you really think the farmers fruit growers are going to start employing people at £8.00+ per hour (or whatever the minimum wage is by then) you are extremely naive. If they did fruit would be beyond the pockets of most people and growing would not be commercially viable. As fore training people to pick fruit... really??
