    correct, so we line up with 3 x CM's with zero width on the right by playing Powers, Butcher and Harkes

    Last game at Aloha they outplayed us in midfield so assume that the idea of the formation was to button up that area and no let the same happen again. If Shanks hadn't blazed a couple of chances over the bar and scored instead would we having this conversation?

    I would think so as its clear as day that playing 3 x CM's doesnt work for us we dont create much, Powers and Butcher far too similar and Harkes is wasted on the right.

    I do like Neilson but by f uck i wish he wasnt so stubborn

    In a 4-4-2, which we played against Alloa, you generally look for you're outside midfielders to be able to run the line, beat a man, get a cross in, cut inside etc etc no? Pawlett at the bare minimum. Not Ian Harkes.
