You are correct sub in all above , I have to admit I’m guilty of it myself on the odd occasion where I forget we’re a small town batting way above our station really.

I think though that you can forgive some of the older generation when they’ve watched Burnley teams of old when we we were the equivalent of a modern day Man CIty really.

I do have to remind my dad on occasion that the ball can go backwards in games, we’d be exciting to watch if he was in charge every pass forward and wingers that go at people.

FFS sake army88,we seriously need to get your dad and my father-in-law in front of the tele together!

He rants at every back pass and can't understand why the likes of Matthews and Finney are not playing on the wings!

I wasn't so much concerned as convinced we were going down, so much so that I put money on it. Sometimes I bet against us as insurance bets, to make defeats etc easier to take, but this was no insurance bet, I really thought we were doomed.

Too much doom and gloom on here ----life is too short to worry, particularly where football is concerned.

My dad when he was alive, always insisted this was played when his coffin was disappearing behind the curtain.

When the song came on, the mourners didn't know whether to laugh or cry!

I was at a funeral recently and this was played ---typical of the bloke who had passed away.
As an ex-RAF musician I have asked that they play Blaze Away when the curtain closes.

For mine I've had Stevie Wonder (who shares my Birthday by the way) to knock up the lyrics and music to my one hit wonder, "I'll come back and phooking haunt you!"
