A very attractive lady .... nowt wrong in saying that, females like to be be praised and treated as ladies (Ooooops sorry I forgot, times have changed .... some don't - I'm told!) but please read my post more fully where I stated I was impressed by her speech as well as her poise and looks. A very competent and well presented young woman who makes M/s Abbott look amateurish as a speaker.

Ah yes - never wrong you say, quite correct, I'm glad you've noticed that .... well done.

Anyway you Lefties ..... keep smiling ........ we old Righties are!!

I imagine if you found Ms Abbot a bit easier on the eye, you wouldn’t give her quite such a hard time. As long as you lads support these politicians for the right reasons.

    [shakes head, walks away]
No son ...... randy old goat please.

Of course our Diane can't help being a 10 pinter as we used to say ...... and that's being generous! Bless her ....... she tries her best doesn't she?

I watched Diane being interviewed on the Sophy Ridge show. I never realised everyone except 'her' Jeremy were responsible for Labour's worst showing at a general election since 1935. Fascinating stuff. Anyway, good luck Di.

Yeah I was going to say something very similar. Diane Abbott is a terrible politician imo, as is Jeremy Corbyn. No problem with saying that. I don’t understand why these righties can’t bring themselves to say similar about Patel and Johnson.
There’s enough evidence. Patel is literally a traitor.

Is it a Soccerman and Notts situation? They just can’t criticise their ‘side’?

If you saw her in parliament yesterday (TV channel) she gave a masterclass in swatting aside the interruptions during her speech. But as legs77 says (no doubt a socialist) this lady is stupid so I bow to his superior logical opinion.
Well she has said lots of stupid things thats a fact but she is alright jack as her family were allowed into the UK decades ago.

In other unimportant news, life expectancy in poorer areas of the UK has actually fallen for the first time in a century. Not to worry though, those in richer areas are living longer so at least the Tories on here will be happy.

Life expectancy among women living in the poorest communities in England has declined since 2011, says a report warning of growing health inequalities. Overall, life expectancy growth has stalled over the past decade - for the first time in 100 years. The largest decreases were seen in the most deprived areas of north-east England, while the biggest increases were in the richest parts of London.

The report, by Prof Sir Michael Marmot, one of the country's leading experts on health inequalities, comes 10 years after he first published data on the growing gap between rich and poor, and between north and south, in England. "England has lost a decade," Prof Marmot said, calling the damage to the nation's health "shocking"."If health has stopped improving, that means society has stopped improving." The report, from the Institute of Health Equity, maintains the widening health inequalities and deteriorating health which have marked the last decade cannot just be put down to very cold winters, flu, or problems with the NHS or social care. Instead, it points the finger at "social and economic conditions, many of which have shown increased inequalities".

Now let me think, which party has been in government for the last 10 years?

According to Wiki, this guy has written 6 books and one journal article ie 7 published items...all on the same theme (health and inequality) as you correctly point out above.

Guess how many of his 7 "works" were published during Labour´s disastrous reign?.....please snobbers, have a guess.

Here is the guy´s total contribution to the world of academia....

    Books

Marmot, Michael (2015). The Health Gap: The Challenge of an Unequal World. Bloomsbury. ISBN 9781408857991.

This guy has been posting numerous articles, mostly during the reign of New Labour but suddenly decides, via his own website, Institute of Health Equity, to slag off the Tories.....wow.....maybe his next article will be entitled "smoking ain´t really that good for you"

I hope you put more effort into picking your Cheltenham winners.
