    Season 20/21 expectations

Barring the worst collapse in football history, we'll be back playing in the Scottish premiership next season. What is the general consensus around expectations for the season?

For me, the main goal is to not be relegated. Simple as that. Get back into this league and stay there. I'm not saying I'd be happy to finish 10th, but that has to be our basic goal.

I'd be OK with a comfortable 7th or 8th finish and I'd be delighted with 6th and above.

    Thoughts?

Survival Bud, simple as that mate. Anything else is a bonus. Lets get up, build and establish ourselves

A ‘comfortable’ bottom 6 finish would do me fine. We’re a couple of seasons off getting anywhere near back to even remotely close to what we were before the Snake’s actions. But to start to do that we have to walk before we can run. As a fan base, being realistic will be immensely helpful as frankly it’s going to be hard enough without excessive supporter ‘demands’.

Depends on how well we invest in the first team. We're a big club, back in the big league and will be paying bigger than most. I'm quietly hoping for a top 6 finish tbh.

I think if we were playing in the Premiership this season, we'd be comfortably safe. Maybe not top 6. But 7th/8th

Depends if Hearts stay up or not.

If they do the top 5 *should* be nailed on as Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts all running with bigger squads, budgets and managers who’ve at the very least had this season to asses situation and a summer to get their house in order.

That leaves us competing with likes of Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Livingston who’ve all over performed in recent seasons and are no mugs.

A comfortable 7th/8th finish and a decent cup run would be acceptable. To achieve any more is going to take a very good transfer window and a couple of other teams struggling.

It will be an achievement to survive imo. I think we could do without thinking of cup runs etc, staying up is the priority.

What I want: top six and a Scottish Cup win. 🙂

    What's more realistic: survival.
