    Atlanta United FC

Congratulations to our "parent club" on reaching the Quarter Finals of the CONCACAF Champions League following a 4-1 aggregate win over FC Motagua of Honduras.

I wonder if the ticket office will be selling tickets and running a charter flight to see our overlords in the quarters?

    In your Tegucigalpa slums...

Was Jon Stark only in the Football series (magazines the size of Commando) or was he in something else? I only ever seen him in the Football series...

I suspect this post will be ignored

MLS Season opener at 1am on Sunday away to Nashville at the Nissan Stadium. First ever competitive game for Nashville apparently.

How the feck does this work though?....

The 2020 regular season will begin on February 29, 2020, and will conclude on October 4, 2020.The league is divided into two conferences of 13 teams, with each playing a 34-game schedule with 17 home matches and 17 away matches. Each team will play their intra-conference opponents twice – once home and once away for a total of 24 matches – and one match against 10 of the 13 members of the opposite conference. The 2020 season will be the first MLS season in which each team does not play every other team at least once.

Atlanta kicked off their MLS season with a 2-1 win over league debutantes Nashville. The winning goal coming from ex Hun & Hibee Emerson Hyndman.

Concern for Atlanta will be star striker Josef Martinez being stretchered off with what looked like a hamstring injury. The Venezuelan has scored 75 goals in 82 games for Atlanta.

And Yank refs are as bad as ours, in this case he failed to send off the Nashville keeper for handling in the centre circle during injury time.
